Hulu has revealed the first images from its upcoming original series La Máquina, which is the streaming platform's first-ever Spanish-language production. It will star Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna, who both worked on Y tu mamá también.

La Máquina premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, on Hulu and on Disney+. This season will consist of six episodes, all dropping at once.
After a tough defeat, Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna is facing a challenging time in his boxing career. Luckily, his manager and best friend Andy Lujan is committed to helping him make a comeback.
However, things take a dangerous turn when a shady organization emerges, making this rematch a life-or-death situation. As Esteban works to regain his position in the boxing world, he also has to deal with personal struggles and ensure the safety of his family, including his ex-wife Irasema. She is a journalist who finds herself on a collision course with the dark side of the boxing world.
The series is produced by Searchlight Television and by Gael García Bernal (known for Y tu mamá también and Coco) and Diego Luna's banner La Corriente del Golfo. Marco Ramirez, known for Daredevil, serves as the executive producer and showrunner. Bernal, Luna, Gerardo Gatica, Leandro Halperín, Adam Fishbach, and Kyzza Terrazas are also executive producers. The show is directed by Gabriel Ripstein, known for 600 Miles.
