Fixed is a 2D adult animated story that follows the story of an average good dog called Bull. He discovers that he will be neutered the next morning. So, he realizes that what he deserves is one last adventure with his best friends. After all, just 24 hours later, his life will be completely altered. Creator Genndy Tartakovsky also released this statement regarding the animated film (via Tudum):
“I love caricatured and exaggerated animation, so I knew the sensibility that I like to do and it was a matter of dialing the amount of exaggeration. I think it started out as a rated-R Lady and the Tramp, then as we got into it it naturally became more cartoony and specific to itself. I would say it began to really take shape as we were fortunate to hire some of the best animators working in 2d from around the world.”
A trailer hasn’t been released yet, but we will update this space with it when it gets released.
Fixed is directed and written by Genndy Tartakovsky. Jon Vitti has assisted with the screenplay. Also, Steve Greenberg, Rich Lufrano, and Vitti have helped with the story. It is produced by Michelle Murdocca with Christian Roedel as the co-producer.
Fixed was originally a co-production between WBD’s New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures. Also, it was intended for theatrical release. However, WB backed out after it was completed and Sony began shopping it around again. Now, Netflix has picked it up for release. This isn’t the only project that WB backed out of, after all they also abandoned Coyote vs Acme. Thankfully, it also got picked up.
