Kaguya-sama: Love Is War anime's season 3 has been set to release in April 2022. To commemorate the announcement, a special poster and promotional teaser lasting 10 minutes have been released as well!
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War follows the story of Kaguya Shinomiya, the heir of one of Japan's wealthiest families and vice-president of her high school's student council, and Miyuki Shirogane, the school's over-achieving president who is from the working class. The two student council leaders are clearly head over heels for each other, but both are too proud to admit it. Believing that the first one to confess love would be on the losing end, the two play a series of increasingly complicated mind games in order to force the other to admit their feelings first.
As one of the best romantic comedies to come out in the last few years, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is immensely popular in the anime community. After a brilliant season 2, fans are excited to see Kaguya and Shirogane's relationship take its next step. Thankfully, we don't have to wait for long, as the demands for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 have finally been heard.
On October 20, the official website and Twitter account for the Kaguya-sama series announced that the anime's Season 3, titled Kaguya-sama: Love Is War - Ultra Romantic, is slated to air in April 2022 as part of the Spring anime schedule. Along with this exciting piece of news, they also brought forth a special visual and a promotional teaser video that's basically an entire 10-minute episode adapting Chapter 110 of the manga. The student council discusses their favorite manga and anime adaptations in this short episode.
The teaser video, which was released directly to the Aniplex Youtube channel, is only available in Japanese as of now.
Along with the renewal announcement, it was revealed that Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic- will be featuring the same staff and cast as the previous two seasons. This basically means that director Shinichi Omata, under the pseudonym Mamoru Hatakeyama, is directing the third season for A-1 Pictures studio, i.e., best known for anime such as Sword Art Online. The returning staff includes Yasuhiro Nakanishi creating the series composition and Yuuko Yahiro working on the character designs as the Chief Animation Director. The sound director will, once again, be Jin Aketagawa, with Kei Haneoka accompanying him as the music composer.
Along with the staff, to the fans' delight, the voice actors will also continue to remain the same as before:
Other than the staff and cast reveal, there's no concrete detail on the potential new characters, release date, and the episode count for the third season. However, it is assumed that the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War season 3 dub will be aired a few weeks after the original anime.
