The upcoming isekai fantasy series, Reincarnated as a Sword, has revealed its first trailer and visual at AnimeJapan 2022. The anime adaptation of Yu Tanaka and Llo's light novels was announced in September. In addition to the preview, the series has also revealed its main staff, cast, and premiere information.
Reincarnated as a Sword is originally a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by Llo. The series started as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October 2015. It was later published as a light novel by Micro Magazine, which released the first volume in July 2016. The light novel series has over 1.8 million copies in circulation.
The series has also received a manga adaptation by Tomowo Maruyama, published by Gentosha, and a spin-off manga by Hinako Inoue, published by Micro Magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novels and manga for North American release, including the spin-off.
The Reincarnated as a Sword anime series will premiere sometime in October 2022. The series recently revealed its anime staff, which sees Shinji Ishihira in the director's chair at studio C2C. Moreover, Takahiro Nagano serves as the series composer, while Atsuki Saito is in charge of character designs and chief animation direction. Yasuharu Takanashi serves as the music composer for the series.
