IPVanish is the latest VPN provider to allow a third party to inspect its no-logs policy. An audit completed by Schellman Compliance, LLC, in February 2025, validated that the VPN provider does not retain any personally identifiable data on its servers.

Per the audit’s report, the assessment included interviews with IPVanish technical representatives, an inspection of IPVanish’s policies and procedures surrounding its VPN applications, and a technical analysis. It also included an inspection of VPN configurations and server components for user data collection and activity logs to determine whether user activity was being collected or stored.

Schellman Compliance concluded that IPVanish doesn’t store customers' internet traffic in any way or form. More precisely, no metadata is stored at any point, including VPN traffic, DNS queries, IP addresses, or timestamps. It’s also said that “IPVanish customers all receive the same level of service across all servers, regions, and subscription tiers.”

In addition to releasing the results of the latest no-logs audit, IPVanish also launched a dedicated ‘Trust Center’ to further explain its no-logs policies and provide insight into its security methodology. That’s where you can also find more information on the latest audit by Schellman Compliance and the 2022 audit by Leviathan Security.

Furthermore, IPVanish’s Trust Center also contains quarterly transparency reports, showing the number of requests the VPN provider receives from governments and law enforcement, DMCA requests, and malicious activity flags. Even though this VPN provider gets a large number of data requests (which is not unusual for trustworthy and reputable VPNs), it has never shared any user information.

It's also worth mentioning that a series of helpful security tools are available free of charge via the VPN's dedicated Trust Center. IPVanish allows you to check your IP address and the safety of individual website URLs. There’s also an Internet speed checker, a password generator, and an all-new QR code checker, which allows you to scan QR codes before opening them on your device.
