In Invincible season 3, Mark will put a stop to his professional relationship with Cecil Stedman. After all, the GDA or the Global Defense Agency’s boss has been involved in quite a lot of shady outings unknown to Mark. She worked with D.A. Sinclair to create an army of mechanical zombies called ReAnimen to be the last line of defense for humanity.
This was her failsafe measure in case Mark decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and tried to conquer Earth. Also, apart from Mark, multiple members of the Guardians of the Globe will also stop working for the GDA after a tense civil war with the people still loyal to Cecil.
In the comic book, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, Robot, and Rex Splode quit the Guardians along with Mark, and so it's expected that the same will happen in the animated adaptation as well. Along with this, there’s a lot more going on. Oliver, Mark’s half-brother becomes Kid Omni-Man.
He will be taking on the Mauler Twins and as comic readers will know, Kid Omni-Man isn’t like his elder half-brother in terms of being morally righteous. Also, villains like Battle Beast, Titan, and Doc Seismic will return. Multi-Paul, Dupli-Kate's twin brother, will also show up, as will Darkwing 2.0.
The much-awaited trailer for Invincible season 3 has been released and it shows Allen convincing Nolan to get out of Viltrumite jail and join the fight of the Coalition of Planets against his own race. Also, Dupli-Kate, Black Samson and The Shapesmith can be seen getting ready to fight The Immortal.
This is surprising because at the end of season 2, Dupli-Kate and Immortal were reunited. The trailer also premiers Mark’s new blue suit, which Robert Kirkman in an interview with Variety revealed, “Anyone who has read the series knows the blue suit era is the darkest and the most intense, and there's a lot of really big things that are around the blue suit.”
Kirkman also said, “He's in a different headspace and that gets reflected in his costume.” In the comics, when Mark has the blue supersuit, he actually begins killing people. Check out the trailer below:
