Hulu finally adds the new Watch Party feature for all subscribers.
Even though it is meant for all users, Watch Party is not available for underage ones.
You can now enjoy a movie or episode on Hulu with up to seven people.
That cool Watch Party feature everyone loves on streaming services is finally coming to Hulu too! Since we have to keep our social distance, this seems like a great way to watch content with friends and family.
This feature was originally tested by Hulu back in May, but it is now finally available across the platform, allowing up to seven people to connect with one another while watching the same movie or TV show.
Originally, this feature was tested out only for the folks who were paying for the most expensive tier on Hulu, but now it's available for everyone. However, this feature is only available for users who are over 18 years of age.
What you do need to keep in mind, though, is that the feature is only available for the browser-version of Hulu and not via the app.
How to Use Hulu's Watch Party?
In order to use Hulu's Watch Party, things are pretty straightforward.
You need to start by loading Hulu in your browser.
Go to the movie or show you want to watch and click on the icon located on the Details page.
Get the link and share it with up to seven other Hulu subscribers, asking them to join.
While watching, group members will be able to use the chat function and control their own playback.
There you go! It's really pretty simple and you get to enjoy a new way to connect with friends and family over Hulu.
