The company Huawei announced the latest version of it Honor 8 smartphone in Europe. This new handset is essentially the rebranded version of the Honor V9 that had launched in china, a two months before. The pre-booking for the devices is available in the following countries, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
The Honor 8 Pro will be available in platinum gold, midnight black, and navy blue color variants. In Honor 8 Pro smartphones, the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 coating on top. It runs Android v. 7.0 Nougat with company’s Emotion UI5.1 skin on top.
The device powered by an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirn 960 processor with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. Huawei Honor 8 Pro features a 5.7-inch 2K display with a resolution of 2560 x 1140 pixels LTPS IPS panel and 2.5D design.
The Honor 8 Pro has the same camera setup that is found on the Honor 8 includes a dual-12MP camera setup on the backside, along with the fingerprint scanner. The front camera is 8MP with 77-degree wide-angle lens.
The device is 6.97mm thick and 184 grams weight. The smartphone will pack a 4,000mAh Li-Poly battery which claims can last up to 2 days. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n., Bluetooth 4.2 and Type-C USB 2.0 port. The smartphone is a dual-SIM device featuring a hybrid SIM tray.
The cost of the new devices will be £480 (roughly 38,900) in the UK territories and in Europe its cost is € 549( roughly 38,100). The smartphone will start shipping from April 20.
