The Seven Deadly Sins is a Japanese fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. The series is set in the European Middle Ages, with the story following a titular group of knights called the seven deadly sins. The sins, originally from the land of Britannia, disbanded ten years before the events of the series after being framed for plotting a coup of the Liones Kingdom.

Liones' third princess, Elizabeth Liones, finds the Seven Deadly Sins' leader, Meliodas, and together they look for his comrades to clear their names and free Liones from the Holy Knights. Last year, the anime series covering the main plotline came to an official end. Fans looking to watch The Seven Dead Sins can check it out on Netflix.

The series's OVAs released through the years are important and cover critical plot points from the main story. We recommend watching The Seven Deadly sins anime series in chronological order.

Moreover, while the main anime has officially ended, a manga spin-off series, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, has been serialized since January 2021. Rumors of the sequel series getting an anime have been going around for a while. However, it has yet to be confirmed.

Note for first-time watchers!

The four-episode TV special, Signs of Holy War, is important in the main storyline. While the special is not officially season 2 of the series, it is a sequel to Season 1. It is critical to the plot, and we do not recommend skipping it.
