The story of Riptide follows Alison, whose life is thrown upside down when her new Australian husband Sean abruptly disappears one morning while out surfing.
Sean is older and wealthier than his partner, and the two appear to be the epitome of happiness together. With Alison's daughter Hannah, they recently moved into an opulent coastal mansion. Alison quickly becomes good friends with their widowed neighbor Dan. But not everything is as pleasant as we may imagine. Sean's son Ethan opposes the marriage, and ex-wife Rachel is unable to hide her bitterness. Even Michael, Alison's ex-husband, causes problems for the relationship. So when he doesn't return after his morning surf, Alison's thoughts are consumed by the notion that something else could have happened to her husband, as opposed to the police's assumption that he was drowned in a riptide.
Riptide stars Jo Joyner as Alison Weston, Peter O'Brien as Sean, David Berry as Dan Burrell, Ciarán Griffiths as Michael Lane, Benny Turland as Ethan Weston, and Asher Yasbincek as Hannah Lane.
