The House Targaryen spin-off series' Episode 8 will air soon, and you will be able to stream The Lord of the Tides online quite easily, just like you do with all your other favorite content, even on the go or while traveling abroad. We have all the information you may need below, including the premiere date and hour, cast, and plot, so let's see when, where, and how to watch House of the Dragon Episode 8: The Lord of the Tides online from anywhere in the world.
The spin-off series is based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood novel and serves as a prequel focusing on the Targaryen civil war that took place about 200 years before the events depicted in Game of Thrones. However, the story is rather about the early life, adventures, misdeeds, and marriages of Prince Daemon Targaryen, called "one of the biggest rogues in the entire history of Ice and Fire." Spoilers ahead!
In the first episode, Queen Aemma died, and Princess Rhaenyra was the named heir to the throne, putting Daemon on a revenge path. In Episode 2, Daemon was banished, and the King refused Lord Corlys' marriage proposal, marrying Lady Alicent Hightower. Episode 3 saw the birth of Alicent's firstborn son and Daemon's impressive display of defiance as he took on the Crabfeeder himself in the Stepstones.
In Episode 4, Daemon tried to seduce Rhaenyra in a brothel to create rumors that would ease his marriage to his niece. In Episode 5, Daemon killed his wife, Lady Rhea, to inherit Runestone and be free, and Rhaenyra married Laenor Velaryon. In Episode 6, The Queen and Ser Criston Cole ally against Rhaenyra, as the latter births the third son, and Lady Laena kills herself by Vaghar's fire while unable to deliver Daemon's last baby. In Episode 7, Rhaenyra and Daemon united against Alicent and her supporters, and they were privately married in the Old Valyrian tradition after getting physical first.
In Episode 8, Otto, Alicent, and her kids work against the Princess and her offspring, and we see a supportive Daemon willing to march into a trap at King's Landing. You can see more details in the episode preview below.
It's worth noting that Paddy Considine is leaving the show soon, and several roles are recast: Aegon II will be played by Tom Glynn-Carney, Aemond by Ewan Mitchell, Helaena by Phia Saban, Jacaerys by Harry Collett, and Lucerys by Elliot Grihault.
