Earth Day comes with several new exciting titles on Disney's streaming service, so we have a lot to look forward to. This time, we are talking about a National Geographic title. We have all the information you may need to know, so let's see how to watch Explorer: The Last Tepui on Disney Plus easily.
Explorer: The Last Tepui is the newest addition to National Geographic's long-running Explorer series. The Disney+ Earth Day special follows the adventures of expert climber Alex Honnold (Free Solo) and a world-class climbing team led by National Geographic Explorer and climber Mark Synnott on a grueling mission deep in the Amazon Rainforest jungle as they attempt a first-ascent climb up a 1000 foot sheer cliff.
Their goal is to deliver legendary biologist and National Geographic Explorer Bruce Means to the top of a massive “island in the sky” known as a tepui. This is one of the last remaining tepuis, which are essentially biologically diverse sky islands and crucial to protect for future generations. The team must first trek miles of treacherous jungle terrain to help Dr. Means complete his life's work, searching the cliff wall for undiscovered animal species. This Earth Day, learn why the tepuis – much like the Galapagos – are a treasure trove of biodiversity worth protecting.
Explorer: The Last Tepui will premiere on the Disney Plus streaming platform on Earth Day - Friday, April 22, 2022. New titles usually land on the streaming services at 12:01 AM PT (03:00 AM ET), so this one should be ready to watch when you wake up if you don't want to stay up that late. The newest installment of National Geographic’s long-running Explorer series special will be one hour long.
This special is an original title, so we will be able to watch Explorer: The Last Tepui on Disney's streaming platform. All you have to do is subscribe to the Disney Plus service for a moderate monthly fee. You will be able to do that in the countries where the streaming platform launched, including the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
Endless entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Always ad free. Download and Go. Stream Anywhere, Anytime. Exclusive Originals. Sign Up Now. Classic Favorites.
The prices in the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland, and Australia are as follows: US $7.99 per month (or the US $79.99 per year) / £7.99 per month (or £79.90 per year) / CA $11.99 per month (or CA $119.99 per year) / AU $11.99 per month (or AU $119.99 per year).
If you live in the US, you have another great option besides subscribing to Disney Plus as a standalone service since American customers can get the Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Hulu bundle and save 25% compared to the monthly cost of subscribing to all three services separately. If this bundle piqued your interest, know that you can choose between Hulu with commercials for $13.99 per month or Hulu (No Ads) for $19.99 per month.
The subscription price offers access to the entire library, which hosts various titles from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and The Simpsons, among others, besides National Geographic titles. The Disney Plus platform is compatible with mobile devices and tablets, both iOS and Android, Smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more - and you can check the full list here. Also, Disney Plus is expanding to other countries, so fans will be able to watch it in more territories starting this summer.
However, keep in mind that the Disney Plus streaming service is not available everywhere, so you may face some geo-restrictions while traveling.
There are a few other ways to watch Explorer: The Last Tepui on Disney Plus for free, even though there is no free trial available on Disney's streaming platform right now.
You can take advantage of a very extensive free trial if you're a Verizon subscriber with select Unlimited plans (or if you upgrade to Unlimited), as the telco offers six months of free Disney Plus for eligible new and existing customers. You will be charged the standard price for a standalone Disney Plus subscription on the streaming platform after the free trial ends, which is $7.99 per month. However, Verizon also offers The Disney Bundle for Unlimited subscribers, but this one does not have a free trial, so be careful what you choose.
There are also on-and-off promotions that include the service for free with Amazon Music Unlimited or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so you should check those services if the deals become available again.
