What Is Disney's Encanto About?
Encanto is a vibrant town in a wondrous and charming place hidden in the mountains of Colombia. This animation tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live in a magical house in this surreal town.
This place exudes magic, and this is how Encanto blessed every child in the family with a unique gift - such as super strength or the power to heal. However, there's one exception, Mirabel (voiced by Stephanie Beatriz), who is the only ordinary Madrigal. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.
The film is directed by Jared Bush (co-director Zootopia) and Byron Howard (Zootopia, Tangled), and it features original songs from Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana), so we're in for a treat when it comes to the animation's soundtrack.
