Launched in 2004, the award-winning Tadashi Agi developed and wrote the Drops of God manga series, illustrated by Shu Okimoto and published by Kodansha. Between its original run from 2004 to 2014 and the Marriage: The Drops of God Final Arc series from 2015 to 2020, it has 70 volumes. The series was highly successful and widely praised not just for its characters and plot but also for its educational wine expertise, resulting in the manga appearing in The New York Times's Dining and Wine section and even increasing wine interest and sales.
Drops of God is an eight-part television series based on a Japanese manga. Drops of God dives into an undiscovered universe of mind games, a topic never before addressed by the series. Alexandre Leger, the developer of the renowned Leger Wine Guide, which is widely recognized as one of the greatest in the world, died at 60 in his Tokyo home. He did have a daughter, Camile, who left him when she was nine years old to live in Paris due to their parent's divorce. Camile is on her way to Tokyo for her father's memorial when she finds that her father has bequeathed the world's most extensive wine collection in his will.Â
Camille Leger, one of the series' essential characters, will be played by Fleur Geffrier, an established French actress. Issei Tomine, Alexandre Leger's adoptive son, will be played by Tomohisa Yamashita. Tomohisa is a well-known Japanese actor, filmmaker, and musician. While these primary stars will receive most of the screen time, here is a look at the supporting cast: Makiko Watanabe, Satoshi Nikaido, Antoine Chappey, Tom Wozniczka, and Azusa Okamoto.
