2. Now, it should say 'Swipe Up to Open' at the bottom of your screen. 

3. So, use your finger to swipe up from the bottom edge of your screen.

As you can see, the gesture you need to use to get to your home screen on iPhone 13 is based on swiping from the very bottom edge of your iPhone's screen. With that said, you can use that same gesture to exit any open app and return to your home screen at any given moment. 

When exiting apps, keep in mind that you won’t actually exit them. Instead, your iPhone will leave them active in the background. So, if you want to see your open apps, swipe up from the bottom – but pause in the middle of the screen.
