Hulu has dropped the trailer for an upcoming comedy show starring Natasha Rothwell, who is also confirmed to appear on The White Lotus season three in 2025. She will play the role of an airport worker who gets the motivation to turn over a new leaf and change her life after she experience a near-death incident.

It's a show that many people can relate to because it's about feeling lonely, going through heartbreak, and holding on to hope. It also has elements of fantasy and magical realism. In an interview with Elle, Rothwell said, "...an element I’m so excited for the world to see is how we played with magic realism in every episode—allowing Mel’s internal world to expressed externally through fantasy pops that will delight and surprise audiences."

This article will tell you when and where you can watch the series, as well as give you an idea about the plot, talk about the cast members, provide the official trailer, and more. We will update this article with new information as and when it is available. Here's everything we know so far about How to Die Alone.

Release Date & Where to Watch

How to Die Alone premieres on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, on Hulu with the first four episodes. More episodes will be released weekly after that.

Plot

How to Die Alone features Natasha Rothwell and tells the story of Mel, a JFK airport employee who is broke, overweight, has never experienced love, and has given up on her dreams. After a near-death experience, she embarks on a journey to learn how to live her life to the fullest.

Rothwell is also the show's creator and executive producer and wrote two episodes as well. Speaking about her character, she said, "The character of Melissa is a love letter to the unhealed version of myself. I wanted to create a character that wasn’t prescriptive or pinned in by societal or industry expectations. And JFK is such a beautiful microcosm of the world. A petri dish where people from all walks of life have to intersect. It’s also a place where we are our most aspirational and it felt like the right home for a character who is poised to take off."
