The season two premiere of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup brought viewers up to speed on Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s life post-prison, unveiling some major developments and emotional struggles. Here are three shocking things revealed in the first episode:

1. Gypsy Rose’s Divorce Drama

One of the most poignant moments of the premiere was Gypsy Rose's struggle with the guilt surrounding her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Anderson. After separating in March 2024, Gypsy admitted that she felt a heavy weight on her conscience, especially as she tried to apologize for "breaking his heart.

Despite her new relationship with Ken Urker, Gypsy expressed that she still wanted to ensure Ryan could find closure and move on. In a candid moment, she told the cameras, “I’m hoping that once the divorce is final, that is what needs to sink in.

2. Gypsy Rose’s Baby and the Reactions from Ken and Their Dads

The premiere also revealed that Gypsy is expecting a baby girl with Ken Urker, a milestone that brought mixed reactions from their families. While Ken expressed his hope that Gypsy would have had more time to settle her divorce before starting a family, Gypsy acknowledged that the situation wasn’t ideal for either of them. She said, "It’s not a good look for me. It’s not a good look for her. It’s not a good look.

Her father, Rodney Blanchard, admitted to being disappointed in the timing, but still encouraged Gypsy to stick with the pregnancy. "I hoped she'd have more time to live a little bit," he said. Ken’s dad shared similar sentiments, hoping for a more stable timeline before having a baby. Despite the pressure, Gypsy remained resolute: “Well, at some point, the cycle has to end and I can break that."

3. Public Backlash and Name-Calling

Gypsy has faced her fair share of public criticism, with many online users labeling her as a "loose woman" and even suggesting that her parole should have included a stipulation to tie her tubes. The harsh judgment stemmed from her ongoing life decisions, including her pregnancy.

Gypsy fiercely defended herself, saying, “I’ve already seen comments online of people saying it should have been a condition of my parole to have my tubes tied, because they don’t feel I’m going to be a good mother because of what my mom put me through.”

Despite the online hate, Gypsy remained determined to prove that she could break the cycle and provide a better future for her child.

As the season unfolds, Gypsy's journey promises to be full of challenges, emotions, and revelations. Stay tuned as new episodes of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup air Mondays at 9 pm ET on Lifetime. The second episode titled, “Your House or Mine?” will air on Monday, March 17, 2025.
