The upcoming Google Pixel 2 is first to have the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC

The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC will make its first appearance officially in the Google Pixel phones, according to the reports on Fudzilla. This year, most of the flagship smartphones feature with Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Now, Snapdragon 836 is more powerful compared to the previous version. It has the same GPU and CPU combination as the Snapdragon 835, but Snapdragon 836 will have higher clock speeds and better performance. Actually, the upcoming SoC is said to use in Samsung Galaxy Note 8, launch on August 23. Suddenly, the reports spread that Google Pixel 2 will be approved as the first device to use the latest Snapdragon 836 SoC.

Last year, Snapdragon 821 was launched as an upgraded variant of the previous Snapdragon 820. And the Snapdragon 821 is expected to launch in the OnePlus 3T company on their OnePlus 5 smartphones on 2016.

Snapdragon 836 featuring on the upcoming flagship in this year. There is no information on benchmark listing. The version 840 and 845 has been spotted on the benchmarking site.

In 2017, Google is expected to unveil the 2 new Google pixel handsets, which are powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC.
