Google One has finally launched its VPN for iOS users. The tech giant rolled out its VPN for Android users in 2020 and promised to bring it to iOS soon. Now, iPhone users can enjoy the Google One VPN service and not feel left out.
Like Android, the Google VPN is only available to iOS users on its premium plans, which come with 2TB storage and higher. The premium plan costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 every year. You can also share your plan with five family members at no added cost, whether they use iOS or Android.
The VPN is available in 18 countries, including the UK, US, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland.
If you prefer Google’s Cloud services to Apple’s, this feature can be a good addition for you. However, with Google One VPN, users can’t access the web with the IP address of another country. This is mostly used to access geo-blocked content on streaming services.
In a recent blog post, Google said it added features to the VPN for Android. These include a safe disconnect feature, which allows you to use the internet only when the VPN is activated. Other features include a snooze option that temporarily turns off the VPN and an Ad Bypass option that lets certain apps use a standard connection instead of the VPN.
The Google One VPN will soon be available on the desktop. This means that you will easily be able to use the service on both Windows PC and MacBook.
