Google is now working on a larger display device named Taimen, which is even larger than Pixel 2 XL

Google has codenamed the upcoming 2017 Pixel devices “Muskie” and “Walleye”. The tech giant is working on a third device under codename ‘Taimen’.

The story behind the name is the company’s product have long carried codename which was under the aquatic animals such as ‘hammerhead’ (Nexus 5), ‘shammu’ (Nexus 6), ‘angler’ (Nexus 6P)etc. So, you are hearing the name as ‘Taimen’.

Taimen is a large-sized Smartphone and have bigger screen display when compared to both Muskie and Walleye, according to Droid life’s sources.

And Droid Life also believes that Taimen is a separate project from the other two devices. Both the devices are the successor to Pixel and Pixel XL.

The new third device will surely larger than either Pixel products. During the launch of the original Pixel Smartphone’s chief of Android, Hiroshi Lockheimer had stated that “I don’t want to close a door completely, but there is no plan right now to do more Nexus devices”.

According to the report, Taimen will be a phone, but we are not sure about this. And we don’t know whether this device will be marketed as a Nexus, Pixel or other.
