Funimation has recently unified under the Crunchyroll brand, and now, their Youtube channel is doing the same. Funimation's official Youtube channel has around 3.7 million subscribers and has been operating since 2006. According to the latest update from the platforms, the channel has now become Crunchyroll Dubs.

The two platforms recently merged as one to operate as a joint venture under Crunchyroll LLC. Sony's Funimation Global Group bought Crunchyroll for $1.175 billion in cash from AT&T in August 2021. Sony also explained the decision to merge the two services saying it will create "a huge benefit for new and existing subscribers who will no longer have to pay for two services."

The move saw Funimation's entire library moving to Crunchyroll. In addition, Customers who used Funimation as their go-to anime site have also been urged by the platform to cancel their subscription and get a Crunchyroll subscription instead! Read on to know more about the platform's Youtube channel.

What To Expect From Crunchyroll Dubs?

Funimation's Youtube channel unifying under the Crunchyroll name is good for fans. The move gives the platform the chance to have separate channels for English dubbed and subbed content. Crunchyroll Dubs will continue providing anime clips, trailers, and full episodes of fan-favorite English-dubbed anime.

Moreover, the channel will also post a dubbed first episode every Saturday at 3 PM ET (midnight PST), starting with Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- on April 9. Fans can watch these episodes for free on Youtube! However, fans who watch anime in the original Japanese with English subs need not feel left out.

All Japanese language content ALA English subbed content will be available on the platform's other Youtube channel, Crunchyroll Collection. The channel boasts 4 million subscribers and will continue to post English-subtitled clips, trailers, and full episodes from time to time.
