Another live TV platform hikes up the price. fuboTV has pushed the price up for its bundles by $10 for each, which puts fubo at $54.99 per month and fubo Extra at $59.99 per month.
A spokesperson for fuboTV told TechNadu that the new prices reflect the many new channels they've added over the past years, including AMC, Cartoon Network, CNN, TBS, TNT, and more. Plus, they're soon adding Viacom channels such as BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Paramount Network, TV Land, VH1, and more, as per the agreement they signed a few weeks back.
"Starting March 28, new customers who sign-up for fubo at this price will receive a $10 discount onthe first month," the company added, explaining the special price visitors can see on the main page of the platform. "We are committed to continuing to deliver the best of live TV to our customers, as well as an exceptional user experience with 4K streams and premium features."
Previously, the fubo bundle cost $44.99 per month and the fubo Extra one cost $49.99 per month. What they're saying to justify the price makes sense since they've really added a lot of channels in the past year, turning fuboTV into a platform that's perfect for families, not only for sports lovers, as the offering now includes channels that broadcast movies, cartoons, reality TV shows and more.
Folks at fubo are also trying to make things easier for those who hate doing all the work in customizing their platforms and have packaged off their bundles and a few features, offering them for a special price.
For instance, if you go for the "Entertainment" package ($69.99/mo) you find when signing up, you'll get access to fubo, Showtime, and Cloud DVR Plus in one go, and the cloud feature is only $5 instead of $9.99. The "Ultra" package ($79.99/mo) has pre-selected fubo Extra, Showtime, Family Share, Cloud DVR Plus, and Sports Plus. Family Share goes for $1.50 instead of $5.99, Cloud DVR goes for $2.50 instead of $9.99, and the Sports Plus package costs $6 instead of $8.99 which is the price you usually get it for.
We've reviewed fuboTV a while back and find the newly added channels to be a refreshing step in the right direction to turning the platform into something everyone can love. Sure, the main focus remains sports, which is obvious when you look at the extra packages, but it's more than that now and that's what counts. fuboTV CEO David Gandler told us last month that the company was planning on expanding the service quite a bit to offer the programming fit for anyone and everyone.
