Fortnite has been ruling the Battle Royale market on all platforms, and the weekly updates are making the game more addictive than ever. Epic Games announced that vehicles would be introduced to the game and the first vehicle that we’ll have our hands on for now is a shopping cart. As of now there is no means of fast travel aside jetpacks and hop rocks, which allow players to traverse the map in creative ways.
While games like H1Z1 and PUBG take a more serious approach in their battle royale games, Fortnite has always been cartoony and unrealistic which makes it stand out. PUBG and H1Z1 have an assortment of realistic vehicles that players can use to travel across the map quickly. Fortnite will go in the completely opposite direction with shopping carts being the first of many vehicles that will be introduced to the game.
The game is also introducing Teams of 20 v2 and Blitz v2 temporarily. Blitz is a much faster version of the game, forcing players to move and engage faster compared to the standard battle royale mode. The Teams of 20 v2 modes involves five 20-man teams battling it out against each other containing high drop rates with better loot.
According to the Epic Games developer team, Fortnite has always been about cartoon-like elements, and its future updates will help the game stick to its fun-filled design. The rideable shopping carts will be spread across the game world randomly. You can either push it around yourself and move faster, or you can have a teammate ride shotgun while you control the shopping cart.
Fortnite has been receiving a ton of gameplay enhancements lately with apples being introduced a few weeks back, which can be used to recover health. Mushrooms are also being introduced which can replenish shield points instead of health points. Mushrooms will be available in the Moisty Mire region if you want to look for them during your games.
