Flight Risk: All we know About the Thriller with 3 People and 1 big Secret  

A plane flying over the Alaskan Wilderness with three people on board is hiding a big secret. Flight Risk, starring Mark Wahlberg, is a tense thriller that will expose the allegiances and identities of the people in the enclosed plane as the cold increases and tensions rise. 

A trailer has been released, and it revealed that the big secret one of the characters is hiding is going to jeopardize the lives of the other two, until and unless they can quickly figure out how to use their smarts in a rapidly crashing plane while time is running out.

What is the plot of Flight Risk?

Flight Risk follows a pilot, Mark Wahlberg, trying to navigate an escalating situation with Air Marshal, Michelle Dockery, and a fugitive, Topher Grace. With the latter getting escorted to a trial, tensions soon rise as the plane flies over the cold Alaskan wilderness. 

Locked in a close space, identities are revealed and alliances shift as more details about the trial come to light. It soon comes out that the pilot is actually a hitman trying to take out the fugitive. What follows next is Air Marshal Madelyn Harris trying to control the situation and fly the plane so that no one ends up dead. 

But that’s easier said than done as Wahlberg’s Daryl Booth uses all the cards up his sleeve to manipulate the situation in his favor. A simple trip transforms into a battle of wills as all three people try to get the upper hand.

In the trailer, we see Air Marshal Madelyn Harris in a sticky situation trying to control a plane as the pilot Daryl Booth is revealed to be a hitman who is after the informant Winston for betraying the Moretti crime family. Seeing the inexperienced Harris, Booth is ready to use the piloting skills he has to manipulate the situation to his benefit. But the Air Marshal has some trick up her sleeves as well. Production Details 

Filming of Flight Risk began in Las Vegas in June 2023. Shooting also took place in Mesquite, Nevada; and Alaska. Filming wrapped in August 2023. This is one of the few projects where the filmmakers were allowed to continue filming even during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.

Flight Risk is directed by Mel Gibson and written by Jared Rosenberg. It is produced by Bruce Davey, John Davis, John Fox, and Mel Gibson. Russell Hollander, Jon Huddle, K. Blaine Johnston, Patrick Josten, Walter Josten, and Petr Jákl have executive produced it with others. The Cinematography is by Johnny Derango and the music is by Antônio Pinto. 

The Production companies involved are Davis Entertainment, Icon Productions, Hammerstone Studios, and Media Capital Technologies. Lionsgate is distributing the film.
