Release date & Where to Watch

The new original series is set to debut on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the US on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024. While there are no international release details yet, given that the show is produced by Paramount, a global release might not be guaranteed.

Plot

One month before her wedding, Lucía's world falls apart when she’s accused of corporate espionage and loses her job on the same day she was expecting a big promotion. Now, not only does she face the shame of telling her fiancé Basilio that she no longer has the income to support their family, but her entire future is thrown into turmoil. 

Meanwhile, Basilio, an aspiring writer, is struggling to produce anything of value for his next book. Desperate to avoid failure, the couple weaves a series of comical lies that ultimately put their relationship at risk.

• Elena Anaya as Lucía: Lucía is a perfectionist doctor working in the cosmetic industry, seeking stability with a family and career. But when her life unravels, she becomes impulsive, launching a plan to take down the person who threatens her world.
• Pilar Castro as Maite: Successful professionally but unlucky in love, Maite reconnects with romance through Santi, her friend's rival, after years of feeling undesired and passionless post-divorce.
• Hugo Silva as Basilio: A once-successful writer, Basilio is struggling to finish his next novel. Supported financially by Lucía, he faces mounting pressure and embarrassment, leading him to lie about his progress.
• Quim Gutiérrez as Santi: An ambitious and insecure executive, Santi hides behind a façade of confidence. He sees Lucía as a rival and is consumed by his drive for success, though he secretly admires her.
• Susi Sánchez as Carmen: Basilio's mother, Carmen, is a sharp-tongued, judgmental matriarch who offers unsolicited advice as she watches the family's chaotic decisions unfold.
• María Botto as Patri: Patri is Basilio's bold ex-wife and mother to his children. After years of neglecting them due to her career, she has rekindled her relationship with both her children and Basilio, with lingering sexual tension.
