We're having a lot of fun keeping up with the Disney shows and movies on Disney Plus, but we're sometimes bummed by all the Error Codes we're getting. This time, we stumbled over Error Code 42 and dug around to see how we could fix it.
We’re sorry; we’re having trouble connecting you to the service. Please check to see that you are still connected to the Internet and try again (Error Code 42).
This doesn't sound too complicated, but we're going to see how to properly fix the problem anyway, in case you need some help.
What's Causing Disney Plus Error Code 42?
This particular error code indicates that the service or video you're trying to access cannot be loaded because you have a weak Internet connection or there's a timeout error.
How to Fix Disney Plus Error Code 42?
This is one of the most frequent error codes you'll find on Disney Plus. Since Disney+ requires 5 Mbps for HD content and 25 Mbps for 4K UHD content, you may find that your Internet speeds are not always up to par.
If the results are not satisfactory, you can unplug your modem and router and wait a minute before plugging them back in again in order to reset them. Restarting your device or, at the very least, the Disney+ app should also be done.
If none of these work for you, you can contact the Disney+ customer support team on the phone, chat, or via social media. They'll be happy to help you out.
