Facebook’s new AI bot ‘M’ competes with Apple Siri

In the latest attempt, Facebook has launched its digital assistant 'M' for US users which privately interjects in Messenger offer user suggestion related to the conversations. That means if you say Goodbye, Messenger will recommend a bye-bye GIF.

Facebook users will open their Messenger apps to discover M, it is a new virtual assistant. The users can realize M that can accomplish much more than the standard digital helper. David Marcus, Vice president of Messaging products at Facebook says "It can perform tasks that none of the others can".

The M is on the platform of chat bot technology, offering recommendations for sending relevant stickers, GIFs, Payments, Trip, sharing your location and more. The service is rolled out to all iOS and Android users in the U.S, but it launched as a beta test in December month.

According to the report on Facebook, M relies on Artificial Intelligence machine learning techniques. M learns that more you use it and more it can help. The user always has the option to ignore or dismiss a suggestion if it's not helpful, and if you don't want M's assistance you can easily mute it in M settings.

AI powered bot will share a fun sticker for your daily lie interactions like 'Thank You' or 'Bye-bye'. M suggest 'Get a Ride' and shares an option of Lyft or Uber.

The similar implementation of Siri on Apple, it is in iMessage platform, the same thing in which Siri from within the chat threads to get answers relevant queries. And a rumor in which Apple plans to introduce Siri iMessage integration in iOS 11, which is expected to launched at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference held in June.
