Recently, Facebook has introduced the group payment feature into its Messenger app means that users pay members into a group chat now, just to click a payment icon (dollar sign).

Facebook had already introduced the person-to-person payments within the Messenger in early 2015. Now, they decide to expand the feature to group payments in Messenger app. Users on Android and desktop can send or receive money between the group on Messenger. The group payments feature is live in the US since Tuesday.

This feature is an important one because group members want to buy a gift for one of their own. Users sending a request for payment within a group chat. After that user has to enter the amount they want to request per member or the total sum to be divided into the group, either including themselves in that calculation or not Facebook says. And then it will also pop-up in the chat to show who paid on a request.

Interestingly, the feature is a free one and does not require a password. The Facebook latest rumor is to be preparing the launch of a digital payments business in India within its other messaging app, Whatsapp. The new feature is rolled out in India quite longer.
