The tension is amplified with the early release of Jack from prison. Determined to locate Tasha and Emily, he enlists the reluctant assistance of his ex-wife, Jen. Jack's desperation is palpable as he pleads, "You're gonna find Tasha," to which Jen responds, "Tasha doesn't want to be found, Jack," highlighting the complex web of emotions and conflicts that persist among them.​

Tasha and Emily’s fragile peace is shattered when Tasha confides, "I can't keep running. I need to be ready," indicating her resolve to confront looming threats. As Jack closes in, Tasha's maternal instincts take center stage.

In a poignant moment, she declares, "If he comes for my daughter... How did The Ex-Wife Season 1 end?

The Ex-Wife season one ends with Tasha uncovering Jack’s true intentions—he manipulated her into marriage to have a child, intending to reunite with his ex-wife, Jen, and raise Emily together. After learning Jack lost his job and lied about traveling, Tasha tracks him down to a hidden bungalow, where he locks her up. She escapes after a fight, leaving Jack injured.

Jack then confesses to Jen that his actions were all for her. Initially hesitant, Jen agrees to flee with him and Emily, but Tasha follows them. A car chase leads to a crash, leaving Jack in a coma and Emily presumed dead. However, months later, Jen receives a letter from Tasha, revealing that she saved Emily and is raising her in secret. The final scene hints at Jack regaining consciousness, suggesting his story isn’t over.

Behind the Scenes

The Ex-Wife season two is a co-production between Clapperboard Studios, Blackbox Multimedia, and Night Train Media, with Night Train providing international financing and controlling worldwide distribution rights alongside All3Media International. The second season was filmed in Cyprus in 2024.

Directed by Paul Walker, the second season features a new writing team—Polly Buckle, Nessa Muthy, and David Turpin—taking over from Catherine Steadman, who penned the first season. 

Executive producers include Giuliano Papadia and Chiara Cardoso for BlackBox, Mike Benson and Andy Morgan for Clapperboard, and Herbert L. Kloiber and Olivia Pahl for Night Train Media, with Kim Crowther serving as series producer.
