The Madame Blanc Mysteries is set in the picturesque village of Sainte Victoire, located in the South of France. While the show is based in France, much of the filming actually took place on the islands of Malta and Gozo.Â
Producer Andy Morgan shared, "I was always confident that we could create Sainte Victoire on Gozo. Once I set foot in the square there, it just felt absolutely right. We had our church, our police station, and our pub – add some French car signs and use clever framing, and you're there." The series uses the stunning locations of Malta and Gozo to stand in for the charming French village.
The 2024 Christmas special is directed by Dermot Boyd, with Sally Lindsay serving as both writer and executive producer. Sue Vincent, who also co-writes the show alongside Sally, contributes to the writing team.
