Filming for The Couple Next Door season two is currently underway in Belgium, with no release date confirmed yet. The series will air on Channel 4 in the UK and later on Starz in the US and Canada.

What is the plot of The Couple Next Door Season 2?

Season two of The Couple Next Door introduces a gripping tale of passion, secrets, and danger. Inspired by the Scandi drama Fatal Injections, the story follows heart surgeon Charlotte Roberts and her husband, consultant anesthetist Jacob, a power couple whose lives unravel after the arrival of Mia, a mysterious new hospital colleague who rents the house next door.

Mia quickly infiltrates Charlotte and Jacob’s lives, earning their trust—and eventually their intimacy—while forming an unusual bond with cul-de-sac outcast Alan. Meanwhile, Charlotte grapples with the unexpected return of her past lover, Leo. As Mia’s shadowy history begins to surface, strange deaths occur among hospital patients, leaving Charlotte and Jacob to question her true identity. The official logline teases, “Giving into desires can have deadly consequences…”

Executive producer Jo McGrath promises in an interview, “More sexy shenanigans in suburbia this time with a provocative psychological twist, the addictive global hit thriller The Couple Next Door is back, with a new set of neighbours each hiding dark secrets of their own.”

Who’s in the cast of The Couple Next Door Season 2?

Season two of The Couple Next Door is written by David Allison and directed by Dries Vos. Produced by ITV Studios-backed Eagle Eye Drama, the series features Jo McGrath and Walter Iuzzolino as executive producers, with Jennifer Burnet as producer.

The show is made in association with Happy Duck Films and supported by the Belgian Tax Shelter, with Beta Film handling distribution.
