What has Happened in Harley Quinn So Far?

Harley Quinn’s transformation from villain to hero—and ultimately, to something in between—kicked off with a dramatic breakup. After finally ending things with the Joker, Harley leaned on her best friend Ivy for support. Together, they formed a new super-villain team.

Over time, Harley’s feelings for Ivy turned romantic, leading to a relationship that blossomed in season two as Ivy’s engagement to Kite Man (Matt Oberg) fell apart.

As their relationship deepened, their careers diverged. Harley, tired of the villain lifestyle, joined the Bat Family alongside Batgirl, Nightwing, and Robin—particularly after Bruce Wayne’s imprisonment for attempting to resurrect his parents. Meanwhile, Ivy took on a destructive path as the new leader of the Legion of Doom, a role offered by Lex Luthor (Giancarlo Esposito).

Their opposing choices led to chaos: Harley accidentally killed Nightwing, and Ivy helped create a super Lex Luthor. The tension brought them together again when Catwoman proposed the Gotham City Sirens as a solution.

In the season four finale, the drama hit a boiling point. Robin sought his mother, Talia Al Ghul (Aline Elasmar), to revive Nightwing using the Lazarus Pit. Now alive, Nightwing is focused on one thing—getting revenge on Harley Quinn.

Is Harley Quinn Returning for Season 6?

The DC Universe, including the satirical and self-aware world of Harley Quinn, is brimming with stories to explore. While the possibility of season six likely hinges on how season five concludes, fans won’t have to wait long for more content. Before season five airs, fans can watch the spinoff Kite Man: Hell Yeah! to keep the excitement alive.
