Does Discovery Plus Work on Cellular Data?

Discovery Plus has been out a few days now, and we're still working out the various things we're curious about, such as whether or not Discovery Plus works on cellular data. So, let's find out.

Discovery Plus does not have any information about the minimum Internet speed requirements for watching content. Still, the other platforms seem to be in agreement that at least 5Mbps is necessary to watch SD content. That being said, your mobile data should have a lot more speed than that.

Furthermore, Discovery Plus does work with cellular data, although it is preferable that you use WiFi simply because the speed is better and your monthly bill will be lower.

How to Watch Discovery Plus Over Cellular Data?

While watching Discovery Plus when you're out and about using mobile data is absolutely possible, you need to make a few settings.

In case the settings have been modified in any way, you can go and redo them as so:

• Launch the Discovery Plus app and go to Account.
• From there go to Settings.
• In the options you have there, make sure Stream Over Cellular is enabled. This will allow you to watch videos via mobile data on the go.

You're done! There's not much else you need to do now other than to put on your headphones and start streaming when you're commuting.
