Plot

FOX's Doc follows Dr. Amy Larsen, a brilliant Chief of Internal and Family Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis. After a traumatic brain injury erases the last eight years of her memory, Amy must navigate a life she no longer recognizes. 

She struggles with forgotten colleagues, patients, and relationships, including an estranged 17-year-old daughter she remembers as a child. Despite losing years of medical knowledge, Amy is determined to rebuild her career and reconnect with loved ones, driven by resilience and hope.

The medical procedural drama Doc, co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment Studios, is based on the globally acclaimed Italian series Doc — Nelle tue mani, created by Lux Vide, a Fremantle company. 

The US version centers on Dr. Amy Larsen, Chief of Internal and Family Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis, with Barbie Kligman serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Hank Steinberg and Erwin Stoff. Production began in March 2024 in Toronto, Canada, with the series slated for the 2024-25 season on FOX. Season one wrapped filming in June 2024.
