In Demon City, hitman Shuhei Sakata is on the brink of turning his life around for his family when the Kimen-gumi, a sinister masked organization, murders his wife and daughter, framing him for the crime. Shot in the head and left for dead, he miraculously survives but falls into a coma. Twelve years later, Sakata awakens, and his dormant killer instinct resurfaces as he seeks revenge on those who destroyed his life.

Demon City, also known as Oni Goroshi (鬼ゴロシ) in Japanese, is a live-action film directed and written by Seiji Tanaka, who previously helmed the dark comedy Melancholic. Based on the manga by Masamichi Kawabe, the film is produced by Yasuhiro Masaoka and Takeshi Sawa with Yoshihiro Sato as the executive producer.
