Deal or No Deal season 2 has concluded, and we have a winner! This season has also created history because the winner took home the most money ever awarded in the show's history. So, who won and what was the prize money? In this article, we will reveal that.Â
David Genat emerged as the winner of Deal or No Deal Island season 2. He scored a higher case value in the final challenge than Alexis Lete, the runner-up. This ensured that David faced off against the banker, Chrissy Teigen. During the battle with the banker, Genat relied on his instincts as he turned down nearly every deal.Â
Also, he successfully opened case after case. He really pushed his luck and refused to settle as the top case of $12,232,001 could still be won. His castmates begged him to take the banker’s offer, but he refused. In the end, there were only two cases left- one had the top prize and the other, just $75.Â
Genat made the right choice and took home the highest deal in the game show franchise’s two-decade-long history. In an interview with USA Today, Genat revealed how he made the correct choice:
"I was having a spiritual experience, man. I just knew where that money was. I knew which cases to open. I was looking for signs from my father, who passed away a couple of years ago. I felt his presence there, and he was just guiding me on what cases to open."
He also said that it's important to have good social skills because building strong relationships is what got him to the final in Deal Or No Deal season 2. Genat said:Â
"You can't plan what's going to happen, but you can plan your relationships and being close with people and making sure that if they do have to send someone home, it's not you. You don't annoy them, you give them what they need. You get good relationships, stable relationships, and that's how you win this game."
David Genat won $5.8 million after winning Deal or No Deal Island Season 2. He said, “The offer came in at $5.8 million, and I started thinking about it, and that is just so much money. La Shell (Wooten) said, 'What's meant for you was meant for you.' And I really felt that. And I felt like the (money) was what was meant for me, and so I deal."
David is an Australian Model who is often regarded as the hero of Survivor Australia. He is also a Jiu-Jitsu black belt. He is married to Pearl Christensen.
At the time of writing, a Season 3 renewal of Deal or No Deal Island has not been announced.
Both seasons 1 and 2 of Deal or No Deal Island are available for streaming on Peacock.
