Marvel has released the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again to members of the press. So, the first reactions are out and if the press is to be believed then Marvel has succeeded in maintaining the quality of the show. So, what is the press saying? Check it out below:
Screen Rant on-camera reporter Liam Crowley said, “[Daredevil: Born Again] has the best pilot of any MCU series thus far, and it’s not close.” Here’s his full review:
#DaredevilBornAgain has the best pilot of any MCU series thus far, and it’s not close. Edge of seat energy w/ audible gasps throughout. Charlie & Vincent haven’t lost a step, Benson & Moorhead bring the sauce. Above all else, it’s EPISODIC. We *might* be back. @screenrant pic.twitter.com/ArVsHm0cJg

Sean O’Connell, the managing editor of Cinema Blend said, "This is just as brutal as Netflix." He wrote:
Holy Hell’s Kitchen! #DaredevilBornAgain opens with a lengthy, devastating sequence that screams, “This is just as brutal as Netflix.” From there, the 2 episodes lay out a layered story about cops, vigilantes, and guilt. Read DEVIL’S REIGN as a refresh. Off to a GREAT start! pic.twitter.com/TiLgUm0Jqn

Big Screen Leeks also showered praise on the show saying, "It’s truly a spectacle." Check out the review below:
#DaredevilBornAgain’s first two episodes are an adrenaline rush unlike anything I’ve felt from the MCU in a long time. Being back in this world feels so good and you can feel the love everyone involved has for the Netflix series. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio slip into their… pic.twitter.com/aWhRJbFtup

Erik Davis, managing director of Fandango said that the show "comes out of the gate HOT! Among the strongest starts for a Marvel Studios TV show to date imo." Here's the full review:
Marvel’s #DaredevilBornAgain comes out of the gate HOT! Among the strongest starts for a Marvel Studios TV show to date imo - the first two episodes are terrific, setting up a story that is part court procedural and part all-out brawling. There’s a fight in EP 1 that is all done… pic.twitter.com/IauSrCJc2v

Brandon Davis said, "It’s a TRUE continuation of the Netflix series." Check out his review:

It’s a TRUE continuation of the Netflix series. Cox & D’Onofrio haven’t missed a beat! Some VFX moments are a weak spot.
It kicks ass, moves quick, and takes no prisoners. Really solid first 2 eps.
Really enjoyed and want to see more!! pic.twitter.com/AGDyExV5YZ
The synopsis of the show says, "Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course."
Charlie Cox teased what's coming to the show in an interview with Collider. Regarding Daredevil's interactions with Kingpin, he said, "One of the things that we tease and talk about a little bit at the beginning of the show is that maybe there's a sense that both Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk have recognized that, in their obsession to rid the city of the other, they have potentially caused the city and society more harm than they've done good."
He further said, "Early on in the season, there is a sense of a kind of quote-unquote loose truce, like, “You stay out of my lane, I stay out of yours, and we'll be good.” That doesn't necessarily go over particularly well. But a lot of the season, there is this feeling, this question of, like, “What is the other doing, and is it enough for me to get involved?”"
