Daredevil: Born Again continues to raise the stakes with its gripping courtroom drama and shocking twists. This episode follows Matt Murdock as he defends Hector Ayala, also known as White Tiger, in a high-profile murder trial. Just when it seems like justice has prevailed, Daredevil: Born Again episode 3 delivers a heartbreaking ending that changes everything.

White Tiger’s Trial & Matt’s bold move

After saving someone from undercover cops in episode two, Hector Ayala finds himself on trial for the accidental death of an officer. Matt Murdock, having stepped away from his Daredevil persona after Foggy Nelson’s death, takes up his defense.

The trial takes a dramatic turn when a key witness, Nicky Torres, lies on the stand, fearing retaliation from corrupt officers. This forces Matt to break a major rule—he reveals Hector’s secret identity as White Tiger in court.

With the case now centered on White Tiger’s past heroism, Matt and Kirsten McDuffie call in multiple witnesses who testify about his good deeds. A police report confirming that White Tiger once saved an officer further strengthens their defense. In the end, Hector is found not guilty, leading to an emotional victory for Matt, who celebrates with the bourbon he once shared with Foggy.

White Tiger’s Shocking Death – Who Pulled the Trigger?

Just as Hector regains his freedom, the episode delivers a gut-wrenching twist. Ignoring Matt’s warning to retire his vigilante persona, White Tiger returns to the streets—and is assassinated. The killer, clad in a vest bearing the Punisher’s iconic skull symbol, shoots Hector in the head.

This moment fuels speculation that Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle may have finally returned to the MCU. However, the series has also introduced a group of corrupt cops sporting a modified Punisher logo, suggesting that someone else could be responsible for White Tiger’s death.

The Haunting Final Moments of Daredevil: Born Again Episode 3

Daredevil: Born Again episode three ends on a somber note. During a heartfelt conversation earlier in the episode, Hector tells Matt about his love for a Puerto Rican beach, describing the peaceful sound of ocean waves and singing frogs. As the credits roll, those very sounds play in the background—symbolizing the tragic fate that robbed Hector of his dream.

With White Tiger’s murder, tensions between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk continue to rise, and the looming presence of the Punisher hints at even greater conflicts ahead. Who really pulled the trigger, and what does it mean for Hell’s Kitchen? Fans will have to wait for the next episode to find out.
