Plot

Set at the prestigious Manchester College in Washington, D.C., Cruel Intentions follows privileged step-siblings Caroline Merteuil and Lucien Belmont as they navigate a ruthless social scene shaped by Greek life. 

When a hazing incident puts the entire Greek system at risk, the pair devise a manipulative scheme to preserve their influence. Their plan involves seducing Annie Grover, daughter of the US Vice President, to prevent the shutdown of fraternities and sororities.

True to its source material, this adaptation retains the provocative "bet" storyline, exploring themes of power, seduction, and betrayal. 

However, it departs from the modern digital world by eliminating social media, lending the series a timeless quality reminiscent of the original novel’s analog style. This unique approach allows for a deeper focus on interpersonal drama and supporting characters, presenting an intense, contemporary twist on a beloved classic.
