Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 marks the end of the show with the last five episodes. The last episodes were full of unexpected twists as well as callbacks to the original Karate Kid film. Episode 10 saw Kwon’s death during the Sekai Taikai brawl. So, there was a question mark on the tournament going forward at all.

Fans wanted to know what was going to happen to the main characters in the final episodes of the series. In this article, we will answer those questions and discuss what happened at the end of Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3.

Why did the Sekai Taikai Resume After Kwon’s Death?

Kwon’s death resulted in the Sekai Taikai getting called off. However, Terry Silver pushed for it to be back on, especially because the Iron Dragons were the favorites to win it all. He contacted Gunther Braun and convinced him to bring the tournament back by agreeing to pay for everything.

However, Gunther said that it would happen only if all the dojos agreed. It took some convincing to get Daniel LaRusso to agree to it, but ultimately everyone did come on board.

Who won the Sekai Taikai ‘Tournament of Champions’?

Cobra Kai ended up winning the Sekai Taikai Tournament of Champions. This means that they are the best dojo on this Earth. It began with Cobra Kai’s Tory defeating Iron Fist’s Zara, then Miguel defeating Iron Fist’s Axel. This leveled the scores between the two rival dojos.

Sensei Lawrence of Cobra Kai then fought Sensei Wolf of Iron Fist. Johnny avoided making his 1984 All-Valley mistake and instead kicked him and cracked his face. This made Cobra Kai win the tournament. Former enemies Johnny and Daniel lifted the trophy together and completed their journeys.

Kim Da-Eun took over the Family Dojo

Master Kim later challenged his granddaughter to decide who would be the head of the dojo. While it wasn't ever verbally said, but it was understood that she was supposed to choose between ending her grandfather and heading the dojo or killing Kreese.

Kreese accepted that his time had come but Sensei Kim ended up killing Master Kim with the same technique he was trying to teach her. After that, she decided not to go back for the Sekai Taikai.

John Kreese and Terry Silver end Each Other

Kreese and Johnny mended their complicated relationship and found closure. However, Kreese knew that his former best friend Silver would put Johnny’s family in danger. He was right. Silver wanted Guzman to kidnap Johnny’s family so that he could be pressured to lose the fight.

But Kreese arrived to save the day just when Guzman was going to leave the yacht to follow Silver’s orders. He knocked him down and what followed was a fight where Kreese threw his cigar in a gasoline puddle that made the whole yacht explode, killing both. But why did Kreese do that? Because he knew that Silver would always be a threat to Johnny.

Johnny and Carmen get Married

Carmen gave birth in the final episodes of Cobra Kai and Johnny proposed just when her water broke. The two got married in front of their family at the hospital with Bobby Brown, Johnny’s friend and a pastor, conducting the ceremony.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 is streaming on Netflix.
