Plot
Season six, part one, plunged the Valley's karate community from a fragile peace into intense competition leading up to the Sekai Taikai international karate tournament. The season’s major twists come in episode five. Tory’s mother unexpectedly dies from kidney disease, pushing Tory to quit Miyagi-Do and giving her spot to Hawk. But, in a shocking turn of events, Tory decides to compete in the tournament under a resurrected Cobra Kai, led by Sensei Kreese. Kreese, having escaped jail at the end of season five, fled to South Korea and began forming a new team with Kim Da-Eun. The part ends on a cliffhanger as Miyagi-Do faces its greatest challenge yet.

Why is Cobra Kai Season 6 in 3 parts?
To mark the conclusion of the Karate Kid spinoff, Cobra Kai season six has been extended to fifteen episodes, a departure from the usual ten. However, instead of releasing the entire season at once, Netflix opted to split it into three parts, similar to how they handled shows like Stranger Things season four.
Hayden Schlossberg, one of the show's creators, explained that while ten episodes wouldn’t suffice to wrap up all storylines, fifteen episodes felt like the ideal length for the final chapter. Given that each season of the show has typically followed a five-episode story arc, the decision was made to break the season into three distinct parts, effectively creating three mini-seasons.
The first five episodes, or part one, were released on Netflix on July 18, 2024. Part two is scheduled for release on Nov. 15, 2024, and part three, referred to as "The Finale Event," is expected in 2025. Each block of five episodes runs approximately three hours, making it manageable for viewers to watch in one sitting, with the anticipation building between releases.
Is There Going to be a Season 7 of Cobra Kai?
Unfortunately, Cobra Kai will not have a seventh season. The series creators confirmed in Jan. 2023 that season six would be the show's final chapter.
