Disney Plus is certainly the platform everyone wants right now, given all the cool titles they have in the library. With the service being available in so many countries, we're trying to figure out the best way to watch everything on our favorite devices. But can you watch Disney Plus on Chromecast?
Chromecast is the digital media player from Google, and it's been around for a while now. The cool thing about it is that it will work on your TV, whether it's old or new, as long as there's an HDMI port.
The device supports Dolby Vision for HDR content, but it doesn't support Dolby Amos, which means that you won't be getting that 5.1 surround sound. Nonetheless, you'll get to watch Disney Plus on your big screen!
Yes! Chromecast is among the devices supported by Disney Plus. In fact, the Google Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices were on the list of supported devices at launch.Â
This is fabulous news because it means you will be able to cast to your Chromecast from your smartphone or tablet, or even your computer.Â
It's really not that difficult to enjoy watching Disney Plus on Chromecast, but if you're new to the dongle and the service, here's how you can do this.Â
One of the most common things that are happening when you're casting content from Disney Plus to Chromecast is that when you start watching a specific title and stop watching before it ends, it causes a glitch. Instead of remembering where you left off, the video goes back to the beginning (or another previous point where you probably paused before).
There is nothing you can do at the moment. Just make sure you somewhat remember where you left off because the Disney+ platform still has some of these problems, even a year after launch.Â
If you ever come across this error, "Disney+ is not available on this Chromecast device" then make sure your Chromecast supports Disney+. Check the below list to find if it supports or not.
