It has been a while since Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District arc came out, and as you can see, we still can’t stop talking about it. The anime keeps getting better with each arc as the story progresses, to the point that it was a really tough job for us to decide which arc was the best among all.
Nevertheless, after a boat-load of brainstorming, we’ve come up with a list of Demon Slayer arcs that we think are the best (honestly, this anime has no bad arcs, so you may see all of them on this list).
Anyway, here’s a list of the best Demon Slayer story arcs! Please note that this article only contains arcs covered by the anime adaptation. Now, grab some snacks and enjoy reading!
This is the arc where the swamp demon kept kidnapping beautiful women. It’s a pretty small arc of just two episodes; and forgettable. But it was probably for the first time that Nezuko intervened in one of Tanjiro’s battles.Â
The arc kind of established Tanjiro as a demon slayer, even if it was a small one. But we would not bat an eye before putting it at the bottom of this list because the anime has done way better later on.
This one is a pretty forgettable arc, except for the part where Muzan Kibutsuji makes an appearance (We haven’t forgotten about our Walmart-Michael Jackson). We must admit that we never expected such a prominent character to appear so early in the series. But you won’t see us complaining. It was an interesting twist, after all.
The battle against demons Susamaru and Yahaba was okay-ish and pretty insignificant in the overall arc, but we could take it. And let’s not forget that the medic demon Tamayo and her assistant Yushiro made their first-ever appearance in this arc.
Not an arc with any battles, but a much-needed one after the overwhelming Mount Natagumo arc. Our characters finally get some time to breathe and rehabilitate after getting beaten up due to various battles in previous arcs.Â
The boys got to heal and train together to develop their skills as better fighters, and it also helped them prepare for what was about to come. Not to forget, we learned a lot more about the Hashira in this arc. And, of course, Nezuko got everyone’s (we are talking about the Hashira) approval to continue being with Tanjiro as a part of the Demon Slayer Corps.

A really interesting arc, not going to lie. Zenitsu and Inosuke were introduced in this arc as potential teammates for Tanjiro. It’s a small arc, but it was pretty intense due to the battle between the Drum demon and the demon slayer boys.Â
The arc introduced the concept of Kizuki demons, and Kyogai made an appearance as the Drum demon. The battle was very intense and left the boys injured. Nonetheless, they kept going ahead.Â
Right off the bat, we see Tanjiro’s family being struck with a tragedy. The family is found dead because of a demon attack, and the only surviving member (Tanjiri’s sister Nezuko) is turned into a demon. It is the first and one of the most memorable arcs of the series.
After getting into a small bout against the Wind Hashira, Giyu Tomiyoka, the brother-sister duo, is headed to meet up with Master Urokudaki. Tanjiro trains for the Final Selection, an exam that the Demon Slayers need to take before being recruited. The arc really sets up a bar for what’s more to come.
We will never stop talking about how unfair it was that Rengoku Kyojuro had to die in this arc. He was a likable character, and we didn’t see his death coming. But then, his battle against Upper Kizuki Three demon, Akaza, was probably what made the arc so amazing.
It was one of the most intense battles in the series, and Ufotable did a great job producing it in such a beautiful way. The Mugen Train movie did make it big globally, after all.Â
Oh, just so we don’t forget, Tanjiro and the team did an amazing job fighting the Lower Kizuki One demon, Enmu, who had taken over the Mugen Train. He was the reason behind the disappearance of so many humans that boarded the train.
Placing this arc so high up on the list was probably the easiest job for us. The overwhelming battle scenes and various new twists made the Mount Natagumo arc one of the best arcs in the series.
The Spider Demon Rui and his play-pretend spider family were one of the most difficult enemies that our demon slayer boys had to face at that point. Two of the most memorable parts of the arc have to be Tanjiro’s Hinokami Kagura and Nezuko’s blood demon art. It was an overall entertainer.
That takes us to the next arc, the best in the series.
Hand’s down, the best Demon Slayer arc on the anime to date is the Entertainment District arc. Ufotable went all out with this one. The insane battles and the story development had us going nuts.Â
Each character involved in the arc got their fair share of screen time and the moment of the spotlight that they deserved. Specially Nezuko, since we finally got an idea about how strong she is, not to forget her demon form. Zenitsu and Inosuke got their own time to shine, and Uzui Tengen was just as flamboyant as ever.Â
We can go on and on about how amazing the arc is. It easily deserves the number one spot on this list of best Demon Slayer Arcs.
