Plot

In Nutcrackers, Michael, a driven real estate developer, must step in as guardian for his four orphaned nephews after a family tragedy. Reluctantly, he heads to rural Ohio, where the boys’ wild behavior challenges his city mindset. 

Tasked with taking care of them until they find a permanent home, Michael discovers an unexpected connection: his sister trained the boys in ballet. As he navigates fatherhood, he learns the value of family and begins to love the boys as his own.

The film was shot on the Ohio farm of the four Janson brothers who star in the film, with David Gordon Green, a longtime family friend, drawing inspiration from their lives to create the story. Principal photography took place in Wilmington, Ohio, starting in late 2023, and wrapped in early 2024 near Cincinnati.
