The anime genre's biggest hit this season, Shingeki no Kyojin AKA Attack on Titan, will see a delay in two episodes airing in March 2022. The latest episodes of the series have had fans at the edge of their seats with some major events finally in play. The series' favorite villain protagonist Eren Yeager has left fans wondering how the series will end, along with what will happen to the in-universe world.
The official Twitter account for the Attack on Titan announced today that the series would have its Japanese broadcast delayed twice during March. Attack on Titan Final Season, Episode 25 AKA Episode 84 overall, will be the first to see the broadcasting delay. Episode 84 of the series will be delayed by 10 minutes, meaning the episode will air at 12:15 AM JST on March 6 instead of the usual 12:05 AM.
On the other hand, the Final Season's episode 27, AKA Episode 87 overall, will be delayed for an entire week! AOT Episode 87, the episode most affected by the delay, was scheduled to air on March 27 but will now air on Japanese TV on April 3. Check out the tweet below:
The tweet reads, "[Notice of change in broadcast date and time]
The broadcast date and time of NHK will be changed as follows.
● Episode 84 Before change: March 6 (Sun) 24: 05-
After change: March 6 (Sun) 24: 15 ~
While the tweet mentions that the episodes will be delayed because of a special organization or programming, it has not specified what the special programming is. According to Crunchyroll, the upcoming programming for the Winter Olympics could very well be the reasoning behind the 10-minute delay for episode 84 on March 6. NHK, which airs Attack on Titan, is also the Japanese broadcaster for the Winter Olympics. Meanwhile, you can check out the release date for the next episode below.
