Apple and Comcast have joined hands to bring Apple TV+ on Comcast's entertainment platforms in the US. This move came a few months after the service was launched on Sky devices, such as Sky Q and Sky Glass, in Europe and the UK. Now, Apple TV+ will be available on Comcast devices like Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, and XClass TV starting this week, and it will shortly roll out on all compatible devices as well.
Comcast also announced that users would profit from a special offer between March 15 and March 21. Xfinity customers will get a glimpse of some of its most popular Apple TV+ original series and films across X1, Flex, and Stream - without having to sign up or sign in. They will also be able to watch the first seasons of several popular shows on Apple TV+, such as the Apple Original film Greyhound.
If you are an Xfinity customer who is not yet subscribed to Apple TV+, you are eligible to get a 3-month free trial of the service if you sign up via your Xfinity device by April 25. You can also enjoy the same offer if you buy a new iPhone or Apple TV 4K device.
To access Apple TV+, users need to say "Apple TV+" or the name of the show they want to watch into their Comcast voice remote. It is the first third-party app made using Comcast's common tools and resources through its global technology platform, enabling content providers to design, develop, and rapidly launch apps that can reach 50+ million devices such as Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, XClass TV, Sky Q, Sky Glass, and more.
