Is Apple One Worth Buying? – We Have Compared the Newly Announced Subscriptions!
Last updated June 16, 2021
Reports suggest that Apple is set to bring its Apple TV, Apple News and Apple Music platforms under one subscription bundle. Apple has already confirmed its interest in producing more original content for both Apple News and Apple TV, and the idea of a new subscription bundle seems likely.
Apple has already offered some of its original shows free with Apple Music in the past including "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" and “Planet of the Apps.” Apple’s subscription-based news service is set to launch sometime next year, and it will merge the Apple News app with the recently Apple-acquired app Texture. Apple acquired Texture to bring more than 200 premium digital magazines under one roof. With top-shelf magazines like Forbes, Nat Geo, Rolling Stone, Allure, Vogue and more being offered at $9.99 per month, it is an appealing package for magazine lovers.
Apple TV currently does not have a subscription fee, and all you need to do is pay for an Apple TV device and individually subscribe to paid content that is available on the platform. With over a dozen original programs said to be in the works, we should have a paid service available sometime next year. Apple Music is currently available at $9.99 per month and $14.99 for Family plans which can be shared between 6 family members.
Apple is said to be working out the specifics of the subscription bundle, and there is no official confirmation yet. The tech giant will continue to operate the three Apple services exclusively even if the bundle is available to users. With Apple’s own programming content set to come out by the summer of 2019, the TV subscription would be available at the same time.
