Apple to Honor Warranty Policy for iPhones With User-Replaced Batteries
Last updated September 14, 2021
Apple iPhones, as far as color selection is considered, has always been rather lackluster - until iPhone 7 that is. Now, when the iPhone 8 and 8 plus was launched, those two models were also made available in only the standard Silver, Space Gray, and Gold color variants. However, recently a Virgin Mobile memo has come out stating a Red version for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is to be announced soon.
Mark Gurman, from Bloomberg, has backed this story, and the guy has a pretty awesome streak with Apple leaks so far. Even though it is sure that the announcement will be this week, there is still a little ambiguity whether or not it will be shipped in such a short time. However, a significant difference between the announcement and availability is not being expected. We also have news that Virgin will be taking pre-orders as soon as it is announced.
Now with a Red variant of the iPhone 8 models, it does beg the question on the existence of a crimson version of the iPhone X. But alas, it seems we will be stuck with the monochromatic offerings. The choice is understandable from a manufacturing standpoint, as the iPhone X is already a costly device, and special editions would make it even harder to sell.
As of now, it seems that Apple is looking at creating colorful and vibrant hardware for people who use their phones to accent their personalities. The tech giant is hoping that a new color variant should keep the sales figures steady up until fall when they will launch the next iteration of their iPhone.
