The QDrops app received a lot of criticism recently after a news agency due to its publication of fake news and theories. The app is run by Richard and Adalita Brown and it was available on both Apple's Apple Store and Google Play Store. The app gained massive popularity post-launch and peaked as the number 10 app on the App Store and held the number one spot in the Entertainment section temporarily. The app allows users to view Q Anon’s conspiracy theories. Q Anon is an individual or group of individuals who claim to have access to private information from the Trump administration. Q Anon’s claims have often been regarded as false and baseless by the news media.

With a rise in fake news on every social media platform and companies struggling to curb the spread of misinformation, the QDrops app received a lot of criticism due to the baseless claims published in the app. The QDrops developers have stated that they will be working towards re-publishing the App Store in the near future.
The app is still available for Google Android users as of now, and it is unknown what Google’s stance is on the situation. Google’s mobile platform is known to be more relaxed when it comes to apps while Apple’s App Store has strict quality control, making it difficult for apps to be published on the platform.
The conspiracy theory in question on the QDrops app has to do with the Pizzagate scandal. The theory by Q Anon speaks about how Hillary Clinton and other top Democrats were involved in a sex racket based out of a pizzeria in Washington. It brought on a lot of criticism from news outlets, and Q Anon’s claims were put into question.
