Apple’s entry-level iPad remains the most affordable way to start using iPadOS. The freshly announced iPad (8th generation) comes this Friday - and will be priced at $329.

This means that the pricing remains the same in comparison to the previous generation, with the newest device bringing a plethora of new features.

The 8th generation iPad retains the 10.2-Retina display found in the previous model, at 2160x1620 pixels. Even though its design isn’t taking a new route, the new iPad changes plenty on the inside. It packs Apple’s A12 Bionic processor, which is a six-core CPU. In other words, you can expect up to 50% better performance.

If you’re looking to upgrade your 7th generation iPad, it appears that the 8th generation iPad looks like a nice leap forward. Once again, it comes priced at $329 – with pre-orders beginning today, and units being available on Friday.
